The Defense Institute in Colorado Springs was established in 1998 by Eric LaLone and John Petrone as an alternative to the everyday martial arts schools around town. They wanted to teach their students reality based self-defense and competition training that they could use right away. If fact their motto say it all, “If you want art … BUY A BRUSH!”
Since 1998 The Defense Institute has expanded to two locations in the Colorado Springs area. Both schools offer top notch training in Street Tactics, Mixed Martial Arts and Kickboxing, Fitness Kickboxing, and our Children’s Martial Arts Program for kids age 4 and up.
Our newest addition to the school is online training at http://dictatetraining.com. This is a learn at home program that you can do anywhere. This way you can increase your skills even if you are unable to make it into one of our schools.
